We begin the day exploring the pioneering work of the “Father of Archaeology” in Portugal, with a visit to one of the country’s earliest identified castros. A site where Portuguese archaeology was born and ancient secrets first came to light.

Enjoy a delicious traditional lunch at a typical and authentic restaurant in the Roriz area, where local cuisine preserves age-old traditions and a deep connection to the land.

Afternoon Adventure

In the afternoon, we visit one of the largest Celtic settlements in the Iberian Peninsula.
Here, you’ll see how the Celts adapted to Roman influence, creating a captivating
blend of cultures.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a trained eye to recognize these ancient sites and a
deeper appreciation of the Celtic legacy woven into Portugal’s history.
